In addition to abiding love, friendship, and support, I/we
have received and continue to receive many gifts and favors. I am not able to
acknowledge every item or occasion, much less send thank you notes, as is my preference.
Please know that I notice every one and they give me, and often by extension
the whole family, comfort - as I hope they do you. So I'd just like to issue a
blanket, perpetual, resounding THANK YOU for every single one -- which I
absolutely receive as acts of loving kindness and compassion.
Thank you for the cards. Thank you for checking in and
staying connected with emails, texts,
and phone calls. Thank you for the flowers, the plants,
even the terrarium ;) Thank you
for the books, the articles, the references, the contact names. Thank you for
the music -- the CDs, the songs, the harpist! Thank you for the food. Thank you
for the recipes, the "love soup," the fruit, the treats, the
desserts. Thank you for the meals at your house, the ready-made meals, for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner out. Thank you for the pedicure. Thank you for the massages. Thank
you for the hats and scarves and bathing caps and haircuts and wig support. Thank
you for the silly care package items that managed to anticipate a lot of needs.
Thank you for the hosting, for the time away. Thank you for the rides, the kid
coverage, the babysitting. Thank you for the walks, runs, stairs, bike rides
and hikes. Thank you for the visits. Thank you for the conversations, the time,
the listening.
Actually this all sounds a bit like our normal, blessed life. It's just way amplified. THANK
YOU.
Thank YOU for being open and feeling safe enough to share your journey with us. We all get to grow and love more and more and more. love Kathy and Joanie
